        May 2005
The Tiger Cubs are Roaring towards Summer. We created picture frames at our last meeting and what luck, I’m sure there will be a lot of pictures to come from our fantastic campout at Northwest River Park. The Cubs got to go on their first Night Hike and enjoy each other’s company. The next day was Fun filled and full of events, to include earning there Music belt loop, practiced Leave No Trace, Scavenger hunt, crafts, and my favorite FISHING!!. (Although we didn’t’ bring in the big one.)

        April 2005
Its time for our tigers to Spring into action! We have been hard charging to achieve our Bobcat badge as well as our Leave No Trace badge. Some of the activities in our meetings include building Birdhouses, Tambourines, and a Scavenger hunt in a bottle. Our boys had a great time “Scouting for Food” even if there was confusion about our area. All in all the boys were very proud to be involved in such a worthy cause. We would like to thank Zack Betz’s Grandfather for providing our Scouts with the wood for our Walking sticks. Special thanks to Mike LeBarge for all your hard work whipping those sticks into shape! We all would like to give you a Tiger Cub HIGH FIVE on a job well done!!! We look forward to our next outdoor event so we can take them out for a test drive.

        February 2005
        No new news!

        January 2005
Our tigers have been busy working on their Tiger badge; hopefully if all goes well their
hard work will soon pay off. We have one more go see it to complete and it is scheduled for the night before the pack meeting. Talk about cutting close. With all of the major accomplishments out of the way we will begin to have more free time with our den. We need parents help scheduling activities for the future den meetings. Please see John or Mary if you have any ideas, we need all the help we can get. The scouts are anxiously awaiting the Pinewood Derby. It will be the first competition for all of them although some have had older brothers who have done this before. We are all looking forward to seeing how everyone’s car turns out. We want to take the time to welcome a new member, Chandler Sheipe, to the Tiger Den. Also congratulations go to Harrison Moore who won the Camping gear at the last Pack meeting.

        December 2004
Whew what a busy month! The Tiger Cubs had a fun time at our first Space Derby. We got to build and race our rockets. In-between races we got to play on the playground. We had a wonderful time riding the Cub Scout float in the parade. We got to wave the American flag and yell MERRY CHRISTMAS to the crowd; we also handed out popcorn and candy. Our cubs had a Great time visiting the local fire station. We got to see firemen at work and a tour of the facility; we also got a chance to play with some of their cool gear and sound off the horn and siren. Most recently we helped support the Arboretum by conducting a field day. Later we cooled off by taking in a hockey game at the Norfolk Scope, Go Admirals!

With Christmas around the corner our tigers want to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas!!

        November 2004
The Tiger Cubs had an awesome time at our first camping trip at Northwest River Park. Our cubs had the chance to sing songs, play games, do arts and crafts, take a nature hike, and to fish. It could be said that when it comes to participation the boys take it literally after one of our boys decided to get “up close and personal” with the fish and took a short swim in the water. Thanks to everyone that took our tigers under their wing to ensure it was a great experience. We had a howling good time at our Halloween party and want to thank the Bears for sharing their crafts with us. We are all looking forward to the space derby on Saturday, as we know it will be another unforgettable event.

        October 2004
The Tiger Cubs have been having a Grrreat time so far! Our cubs have worked together on many projects like the pine cone bird feeder and cleaning the environment at our pack 320 adopt a spot park. We had the chance to meet many other members of the pack and there families while we had a rocketing good time preparing rockets for our space derby. We would like to give a warm Tiger Cub welcome to all our new Scouts Zach Betz, Steven Blake, Christian Buck, Michael Burnidge II, Caleb Hill, Thomas LeBarge, Harrison Moore, Marcos Olivarez and their families. I know every one is anxiously awaiting our camping trip to the Northwest River Park

        September 2004
Tigers are starting this year off with a roar in learning about Search Discover and Share. In the 2 meetings we have had, they have showed a lot of enthusiasm and curiosity towards Cub Scouts. The Tigers are learning the basics of the Scout Promise and opening ceremonies for their Den meetings. This past week they experienced Search Discover and Share by making chocolate chip cookies from scratch. They were really good.
